With his great skill in handling choral polyphony, composer Greg Brown has given us what Philadelphia's WRTI has called, "striking and original vocal writing....[using] the building blocks of the past to point the way to the future."  This is beautiful music on thoughtful poetry; we share the CD with the fantastic male vocal quartet New York Polyphony.
